Sin City to Host Upcoming Aesthetics Show

Skin Care SpaTHEAesthetic Show, taking place May 25-28 at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Resort, is one of many new educational forums sprouting up to satisfy medical professionals’ interest in the growing and lucrative aesthetics industry. Unlike traditional single-specialty meetings, THEAesthetic Show is open to all medical professionals and will focus on the aesthetic medical category. Featured topics include body-shaping, skin tightening, facial injectables, hair and tattoo removal, cosmeceuticals and medical spa marketing and development.

Michael Moretti, president of Medical Insight, Inc., believes the aesthetics market may reach $6 billion in sales by 2011. His five-year forecast highlights, “facial injectables, body shaping devices, corporate aesthetic centers and aesthetic energy platforms,” as having the greatest growth potential. He believes other large healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Galderma, Merz, Procter & Gamble and Pfizer, will soon enter the market.
