Approximately 38 companies, both public and private, will present at the conference, many will be showing breakthrough technologies. Examples include the use of electricity to treat and reverse blindness, a contrast agent for MR which determines tissue viability, a device that could eliminate the abuse of pharmaceuticals, a drug delivery technology capable of responding to pandemics, a means of regrowing cartilage, and a breakthrough in the treatment of obesity.
In addition to company presentations, panels on Personalized Medicine and Diagnostics will discuss the opportunities for investors in these emerging fields. A variety of workshops on topics including negotiating venture term sheets and accessing government investment will be held for operating executives.
