Day 1 at the OneMedForum 2011

The 4th Annual OneMedForum started on January 11th, 2011 with a large gathering of healthcare financiers and executives filling out the Sir Frances Drake Hotel in San Francisco.

As the name tags and conference books were being distributed, there was a high level of enthusiasm in the air, a promise that it was going to be an unforgettable event. Expectations are high as excitement builds for investors ready to see the next step in the emerging sciences.

The conference began with a Diagnostics and Personalized Medicine Panel, featuring Scott T. Garrett, Former Chairman and CEO, Beckman Coulter, Inc and Paul Grossman Ph.D., Senior VP, Strategy & Corporate Development of Life Technologies. The day also included company presentations, a Neurology Panel, a Urology Panel and a Women’s Care Panel. The Lunch Keynote Speaker was Nathan Myhrvold, former chief technology officer of Microsoft, who spoke on developing a new approach to inventions and on the outlook for health and medicine.

Overall, it was a great start of an exciting conference for CEO’s, investors, and corporate development executives to broadened their exposure and built relationships in an environment perfect for networking between companies, strategic partners, institutional investors and healthcare media.
