The company has developed a novel thin film metal surface technology that can be used to synthesize advanced implantable prosthetics. This technology is currently used to produce a sophisticated cardiovascular stent used in mechanical unobstruction of blood vessels (angioplasty), which unlike current methods avoids the build up of plague material downstream of the stent which can cause subsequent blockage. The company’s technology is being expanded to be used in valve replacement, cosmetic, and orthopedic implants.
