Minnesota Firm Raises $8.5 Million for Nanotech Investment

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported yesterday that IFC Medical, a small medical technology company based in Plymouth, MN, has raised $8.5 million to invest in developing nanotechnology to modify medical devices. One application of the technology, according to the Journal, would be to prevent tissue from attaching to devices. Two California venture firms, Integrity Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, led the financing.
