The China Forum 2011 In Hindsight

Over one hundred and fifty investors and entrepreneurs packed the Empire room at The Sir Francis Drake Hotel for OneMedForum’s China Seminar Monday January 10, 2011 to see what all the fuss is about. Now the world’s third largest market for medical equipment, growing at over 15% annually, the China market is booming and everyone wants a piece of the pie.

As China advances as an economic powerhouse, these ratios indicate a very big and growing market and offers tremendous opportunity for Western investors and companies. This session served as a prelude to OneMedForum SF 2011 and was designed to help senior executives shape strategy to approach what may be one of the most lucrative and perilous markets in the world.

Led by Dr. Kitty Wu, and co-chaired by Dr. James Tong of Tianyan Pharmaceuticals, the China Seminar featured four panel sessions addressing critical issues to understanding how Healthcare and life science companies can succeed in China.

Also present were Benjamin Li, Ph.D, Founder and CEO of Lee’s Pharmaceuticals, and Thomas Loarie, Chairman of Mercator Medsystems among other high profile investors and financiers.
